A Single Verification for the State of Mexico by 2020

In the State of Mexico, it has been decided that there will be only one verification during this year, as we are still at red light (the highest stage of infection) and the verificenters are not functioning as a means of preventing infection.

The entity’s Secretariat for the Environment (SMA), through the Directorate General for Air Pollution Prevention and Control (DGPCCA), will extend the validity of the Mandatory Vehicle Verification Program for the first half of the year, until 31 December 2020.

He also indicated that those who have managed to carry out the verification before the National Day of Sana Distancia, will no longer be required to carry out a second verification during this year.

The SMA envisages that when the conditions are optimal, operations will be restarted in the verificenters and the procedure will have to be carried out before 31 December 2020, according to the completion of the plate as established in the calendar.

For the completion of plate 7 or 8 will count on 30 calendar days, the completion of plates 3 or 4 will count on 60 calendar days. In the case of the completion of plates 1 or 2, 90 calendar days will be provided, and for the completion of plates 9 or 0 it will be 120 calendar days.

It is important to remember that cars that do not comply with the verification will be fined 20 times the UMA value being equivalent to $1,737.60 pesos.

On the other hand, the program “does not circulate today” remains mandatory in the metropolitan area of the Valley of Mexico and Toluca until further notice.
