Anti-Dumping Investigation into Hydraulic Bottle-Type Jacks. On 4 June the Ministry of Economic Affairs published in the Official Journal of the Federation a preliminary decision on the anti-dumping investigation into imports of bottle jacks originating in the People’s Republic of China.

This publication means that the Ministry of Economic Affairs will continue with the investigation procedure concerning unfair trade practices in imports of bottle jacks whose main application is to lift, lower and general, move heavy loads, and enter the domestic market under the following tariff fraction:

For the goods that are the subject of the resolution and that enter under the tariff fraction 8425.42.02, that is, the hydraulic jacks type bottle, it was determined to impose a provisional compensatory quota of 13.33 dollars per piece.

It should be noted that the imposition of the countervailing quota is due to a preliminary positive determination of the existence of price discrimination and damage to the domestic industry of similar products.

In this regard, a period of 20 working days is given after the publication of the decision in the Official Journal of the Federation, for those interested to present any additional arguments and evidence they deem appropriate.

It is important to note that importers will not be obliged to pay this compensatory quota when they verify that the country of origin of the hydraulic bottle jacks is different from the PRC.
