Closure of Companies for Putting their Workers at Risk

The Ministry of Health warned about the closure of companies that put the health of their workers at risk.

This is important since on 14 May the AGREEMENT establishing a strategy for the reopening of social, educational and economic activities was published in the Official Journal of the Federation, as well as a system of regional traffic lights to assess weekly the epidemiological risk related to the reopening of activities in each federal entity, as well as extraordinary actions.

The agreement outlines three stages:

The first, the beginning of activities in the “MUNICIPALITIES OF HOPE”, from May 18.

The second is to carry out generally applicable measures to prepare for the reopening of activities in general, such as the development of health protocols for the safe resumption of activities, Training of personnel for safety in the work environment, rehabilitation of spaces and production processes, as well as the implementation of entrance filters, sanitization and hygiene of the workplace. In the period from 18 to 31 May.

The third, begins on 1 June 2020, under the system of regional traffic lights for the reopening of social, educational and economic activities.

However, the following day (15 May), through the AGREEMENT modifying the various establishing a strategy for the reopening of social, educational and economic activities, as well as a system of regional traffic lights to assess weekly the epidemiological risk related to the reopening of activities in each federal entity, as well as extraordinary actions, published on 14 May 2020.

In that agreement, and what we are really talking about here is that it makes it clear that this is a good-will agreement; however, if it is not complied with, then companies or industries that endanger the health of their workers will be shut down.
