Preservation of Business Operations
On March 31, 2020, the Business Coordinating Council issued a statement recognizing the work of the Federal Government and federal entities, which have implemented health measures related to coronavirus disease (COVID-19). However, they consider that this unexpected situation will affect the income generation and employment generation necessary for the continuity of business operations.
For this reason, the coordinating council urgently requests the Government of Mexico to issue a decree granting the following measures during the contingency of COVID-19, in order to guarantee the business operations:
1.- Allow the automatic reduction of all interim payments for the year 2020.
2.- Allow the payment of the tax generated by the annual declaration 2019 to 12 partiality without updates or surcharges for natural persons.
3.- Establish a procedure to speed up the return of balances in favour of VAT throughout the year 2020.
4.- To enable taxpayers to compensate universally for the balance in favour throughout the year 2020.
In addition, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) calls for the recommendations to be followed in order to avoid a deepening economic crisis and a further impact on business operations.
