Recess of TSJ CDMX.

In accordance with the actions announced by the Head of Government of Mexico City, Dr Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, at a press conference on 4 December 2020, the Council of the Judiciary of Mexico City, has determined the recess of work and therefore the suspension of procedural deadlines in the Judicial Branch of Mexico City from 7 to 15 December 2020 so that in accordance with the holiday period have decided to resume their activities on 7th January 2021.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, and with a view to ensuring the principle of access to justice, it determined:

1.- The virtual common parts office will continue to provide service from 7 to 15 December 2020.

2.- In criminal matters, the courts (Control, Enforcement and Court of Appeal), including Juvenile Justice, are exempt from this extension in the suspension of activities, as well as the Unit for the Supervision of Precautionary Measures and Conditional Suspension of Proceedings, and the Judicial Management Units and Specialized Judicial Management Units of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City, four jurisdictional bodies for the enforcement of criminal sanctions in Mexico City, located in the North and South Prisons, for which they will adopt guards implementing shift roles.

3.- In the case of jurisdictional bodies in civil and family matters, the Council of the Judiciary of Mexico City determined that the Courts of Written Procedure shall be composed of guards in accordance with the shift role determined by the plenary of the Council itself, FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE LAW ON WOMEN’S ACCESS TO A LIFE FREE FROM VIOLENCE FOR MEXICO CITY.

4.- The Family Courts of Written Process, which are on guard, will be responsible for the delivery of deposit tickets.

5.- The Family Courts of oral proceedings will continue the Proceedings previously initiated online and will conduct hearings at a distance.

6.- The Supervised Family Coexistence Center of the H. Tribunal (CECOFAM), will continue with the operation of the electronic system and digital platform that allows the realization of maternal or paternal-filial coexistence through the video called modality.

7.- With regard to the proceedings before the Judicial Disciplinary Commission of H. Consejo, there will be no procedural deadlines or terms during the suspension period.
