Request for extension of the deadline for the annual declaration
Derived from that the Tax Administration Service (SAT), has not given facilities to the taxpayers derived from the health contingency phase 2 we are going through, and considering that both Mercantile Companies and Natural Persons will be greatly affected not only financially but also in the breach of their tax obligations, the Attorney General’s Office for the Defense of the Taxpayer (PRODECON), requested the Tax Administration Service, an extension for the submission of the annual return, which is soon to expire.
As is well known, for Morales the deadline for filing is March 31, and for Natural Persons, the limit is until April 31, this year. That is why PRODECON is very interested in helping taxpayers, so I consider it necessary to request an extension from the SAT, issuing a general rule extending the deadline for the submission of the annual declaration to 31 July of this year for both legal persons and natural persons.
In addition to the above, not only is the extension requested because of the coronavirus pandemic, but also because it must be taken into account that the official SAT site has shown errors in recent days, ESPECIALLY THE SITE FOR THE ANNUAL DECLARATION OF MORAL PERSONS and this is causing a considerable delay in the information load.
Finally, PRODECON suggested suspending the time limits for the filing of the application for revocation as a defence, bearing in mind that the use of the Advanced Electronic Signature (FIEL) is indispensable for the filing of such an appeal, and that there are some taxpayers with the expired certificate, which they cannot renew since there are no appointments available in the near future.
