SAT UPDATES PORTAL FOR PASSWORD GENERATION OR CHANGE

Faced with the declaration of health due to force majeure, derived from the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19), the Tax Administration Service (SAT) day after day has been coupling to the crisis that taxpayers are going through, that is why it has generated tools that promote and facilitate the procedures without the need to present themselves in its facilities, among them, the one to generate or change its password.

One such tool is the SAT ID application, which was released on 15 April 2020, so that taxpayers can generate or update their password to access the SAT portal. However, this application was experiencing technical problems, which made it difficult and confusing for taxpayers to process.

That is why the SAT, in a press release, reported that in order to give the best attention to the taxpayer and make efficient the service provided to us, it would make important changes in that application. Therefore, it is important that when you carry out this procedure you consider the following points:

• You must be over 18 years of age and be enrolled in the Pay and Salary System and Income Assimilated to Wages.

• Perform the procedure using Chrome or Mozilla browsers, you can also do it by downloading the app via Play Store for Android.

• You must have your current official ID, INE, Driving License or Professional Card, which must be scanned on both sides.

So if you completed this procedure and the SAT detected problems in the validation process, you can do it again, remember that you only have 3 opportunities.
