Supports for Infonavit Patterns in Response to the Covid-19 Contingency
In view of the situation caused by the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (INFONAVIT), through the Board of Directors, agreed on a series of measures for employers in order to help during this crisis, the following supports has been announced:
This administrative authority, agreed to defer the payment of employer contributions, indicating that, from this Monday 27 April, will be enabled in the Business Portal, a section where you can request THE SUSPENSION OF INSTALLMENTS TO PAY FEES, this depends on the number of workers as follows:
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (Smes), with less than 250 employees, may request extension of the payment of their workers’ contributions without housing credit for the first and second bimonthly, paying until September of this year, in addition to being able to count on the support of extension in the monthly payments of the agreements of payment in partiality that have in force and in the same way to pay until September.
- Companies with more than 250 workers, may request an extension of the payment of their workers’ contributions without housing credit of the first two months, paying until July of this year and in the same way they will be able to access the support of extending the monthly payments of the agreements of payment in installments that they have in force, paying in July.
In addition to the above, INFONAVIT, as part of its supports, also decided to suspend the inspections of employers from 30 March when the health emergency was declared and until it is terminated. This means that audits (as long as the tax interest is not affected), collections and administrative actions are suspended, that is, trials, in addition to suspending the deadlines in the fulfillment of any other obligation of payment by the employers.
With these supports measures, INFONAVIT considers that “legal certainty and security are provided to accredited persons, successors, employers, courts, administrative authorities, governmental bodies and the general public in respect of the proceedings before the Institute”.
